TL;DR

BootyNet’s flagship sister towers generate their own power, draw up to 10GW (gigawatts) combined under full load, and run on a renewable mix that is 99% renewable. We’re aware of how that sounds. We stand by it.


The Flagship Sister Towers

BootyNet operates two Flagship Sister Towers: one in Las Vegas, one in the greater Lake Taupō area. Both are engineered to generate their own power independently of the surrounding grid, wherever possible, and sometimes when it isn’t.

Vegas Tower — peak draw of 2.1GW under full load, roughly the output of a mid-sized power station. Vegas Tower has never once requested power from the city of Las Vegas, a fact BootyNet considers significant.

Taupō Tower — situated directly in Lake Taupō. Draws less power than Vegas Tower, mostly out of respect. Generation is 99% hydro (underwater) and 1% hydro (above water).

Total Power Draw

Combined across all BootyNet infrastructure, global power draw can reach up to 10GW per hour under peak load. The Flagship Sister Towers account for 4.2GW of that figure at peak. The remainder is drawn by node infrastructure, edge equipment, and several categories BootyNet has chosen not to itemize here.

Power Source Breakdown

BootyNet’s generation mix is renewable, carbon-neutral, and net-negative, simultaneously and in overlapping proportions.

  • Renewable — solar, wind, and other conventional sources, deployed across both towers
  • Carbon-neutral — offset through initiatives BootyNet has not yet made public
  • Net-negative — achieved through means currently under internal review

Grid Independence

Where possible, BootyNet infrastructure operates independently of local power grids. This reduces strain on public utilities and allows BootyNet to report figures without needing to reconcile them against anyone else’s.

Redundancy & Failover

Both Flagship Sister Towers maintain backup power systems capable of exceeding primary output. BootyNet does not currently have a public explanation for why backup capacity is higher than primary capacity, but is confident this reflects positively on the network.
