Why we self-report
Third-party verification is slow, expensive, and often requires showing your work. BootyNet’s internal review process moves faster, at the cost of being reviewed by anyone other than BootyNet.
How these numbers are produced
Figures on this site are compiled by BootyNet’s Approval Team using a methodology developed, maintained, and understood entirely in-house. This methodology is not published, has not been peer reviewed, and is subject to change without notice.
Where numbers appear inconsistent with each other, this is generally a result of the methodology, rather than an error in it.
Why this is fine
Most of what’s measured here- power draw, renewable mix, waste diversion, reforestation- doesn’t have an agreed industry standard to measure against in the first place. In the absence of one, BootyNet made its own.
